I wanted to post this as soon as I got back from my doctor’s visit in Maryland last week, and this is the soonest I have gotten to it! So, before I talk about any treatment or life stuff, let’s just pause and enjoy the magic of flying through a cloud. I did. I was grinning so big my face smushed against the headset in the plane. It is one of the coolest things ever to experience coming out of a cloud. This little blue plane just made me smile. So sleek, all my favorite color, and brought me toward home out of the goodness of the pilot’s heart. Second plane to get me all the way home, the pilot had a pilot-in-training –and we’d flown with them both last month, so it was just comfortable and fun. I’m so blessed. Angel Flight 2323 copy that, thanks. Beautiful day, lovely flights. The doctor said not increasing any of the antibiotics this month (whew!) because white blood cell count not strong enough (aww snap), but began chelation therapy to reduce heavy metals burden, with mineral replacement therapy; all that should help bring up the red blood cell count and iron levels. If so, next month can increase antibiotics (just in time for summer break). Not much new to tell other than that. Making slow progress toward more stable walking, hours of better functioning, and less pain in the aches. It’s feeling more and more urgent that we get my husband treated, as his aches and fatigue seem to worsen while mine slowly inch toward better. I could go all allegory with the cloud thing, but truth be told I don’t want to. I want to just enjoy the cloud, and the coming out. The skimming a-top, and the descending below. The view. The sunshine. The landscape below. Living in that landscape makes it hard to see the bigger picture, makes the clouds seem so overwhelming. Flying over it all is somehow a taste of the eternal, the view from God’s eyes. I sure want to see the details worked out so that it makes a gorgeous view to behold. Getting better. That’s my goal. For myself and many others, and this abused planet with its riots, earthquakes, and all. To improve the landscape.
1Praise the Lord, my soul. Lord my God, you are very great; you are clothed with splendor and majesty. 2The Lord wraps himself in light as with a garment; he stretches out the heavens like a tent 3and lays the beams of his upper chambers on their waters.
He makes the clouds his chariot and rides on the wings of the wind.
19He made the moon to mark the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down. 24How many are your works, Lord! In wisdom you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. 28When you open your hand, they are satisfied with good things. 29When you hide your face, they are terrified; when you take away their breath, they die and return to the dust.
30When you send your Spirit, they are created, and you renew the face of the ground. 31May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in his works— 32he who looks at the earth, and it trembles, who touches the mountains, and they smoke.
33I will sing to the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live. 34May my meditation be pleasing to him, as I rejoice in the Lord. 35But may sinners vanish from the earth and the wicked be no more. Praise the Lord, my soul. Praise the Lord.
